Big City Living

I think MPC is trying to kill me, he made me borrow and ride a bike yesterday and now I want to die. My butt hurts so much. It makes me so grateful to have a job that requires standing instead of sitting.

The good news from this adventure is that we got to take in the lake front and ride the bike trail from my apartment all the way to Navy Pier, which was very cool. It's so pretty. I can't believe July is nearly over and soon fall and winter will be here.

Pure Michigan

I spent the weekend in Michigan, now I am a tiny bit home sick and wish I could spend my whole summer in the Great Lake State.

Oh, and 14 days left...

(I have these in a beige and white stripes from Old Navy) So cute!

I have been very brave this year and bought a two piece swim suit that is very cute! But it is brown and beige, I am afraid I am turning into my mother with all this brown and beige I have been into recently.

and one final thing, everything from this website.

I hope you all have a wonderful summer, full of sun, sand, tans, drinks, food and happiness!

Monday Update

I'm thinking I will start updating once a week on Mondays.

We like Mondays, right?

The start of the work week, the end of the weekend...

Ok, we don't like Mondays.

Very bad idea, forget I said anything.

But I *do* need to update more.

I hope everyone had a fantastically patriotic 4th of July filled with grilled food, drinks and fireworks. I managed to escape the city for a few hours and head to Plainfield, IL where we drove on part of old Route 66 and nearly got lost in a cornfield. It was amusing, especially when some shouting and scolding was done in Spanish. Not at me, but at the navigator. Can anyone tell me why I didn't take Spanish classes in High School and/or college?

After several hours of food, sun and pool I found it extremely difficult to head back to work today. Unfortunately, my place of employment doesn't feel the need to observe in anyway, shape or form National Holidays. Weird, right?

One day I will have a real job.

One where customers wearing black rhinestone tank tops with blue velor pants don't come in and call a $400 purse tacky. (I wanted to hand her a mirror and tell her to take a look at herself. It was the pot calling the kettle black!!!!)

Happy summer, I hope you all enjoy the warm weather! (My friend Jerry does too!)
