Morning, Miss Alice. My watch is...

I have a new favorite movie.

Wanna guess what it is?

No?

Ok, I'll tell you then: "Bringing Up Baby" starring Katherine Hepburn and Cary Grant.

OMG! It is fabulous!

Anyhow, I have been crazy busy lately. Toi visited last weekend. We had a blast. I have an awesome picture that I will share at a later time, hopefully by the end of the month.

The "alien in the carpet" story is completely true. I do have new details concerning that silly little creature: he can magically disappear with the use of a vacuum. Yep, that's right, just a vacuum makes it disappear.

I think the weird thing about the whole situation is that it has happen twice.

My mother visited this weekend. We had fun. One night she knocked over a drink, we watched the carpet suck it in incredibly fast and the next morning we vacuumed it away.

I'm sad we've found a solution. I would have loved for the Doctor to visit!

Lack of Imagination

I have seen Sex and the City 2 two times in three days. I can't see it again. Seriously, how does one end up seeing the same movies two times in three days? I'll tell you how...

First you make plans with a cousin to see in the near future. Then you go out with a friend for happy hour/dinner and it turns into a girls night out and you see the movie with her. Because you made the plans with the cousin your mother bribes you to see it again to avoid any family friction and you have to see it again.

I can't see SATC2 ever again. Not even on DVD when it eventually comes out. I've seen enough to know I've seen too much. Plus, seeing/hearing Liza Minnelli sing "Single Ladies" one more time might actually kill me.

Did you all see the Larry King interview with Lady Gaga? I feel like Lady Gaga and I could be friends or sisters. I especially related to her answers on religion:

The only thing that really bothers me about Lady Gaga is knowing that we are the same age and she has accomplished so much and I've accomplished nothing...

Anyhow, I am so excited to Toi's visit. I may actually explode. But I'll try not to. I don't think Toi would be happy picking up little pieces of me in Union Station.

Gooci? L.V.?

So, a funny thing happens to me at work. I am asked all the time for specific designer handbags, Dooney and Bourke, Michael Kors, Calvin Klein, and others and I just direct them to the correct floor.

Fairly simple, right? But what about:

"Gooci?"

"L.V."

"Gucky?"

"Lee Vee?"

Apparently Gucci and Louis Vuitton are really hard to say. After I figure out what the guest is trying to say I become an incredible snob (I try not to, but it's so hard) and say to them:

"Do you mean Gucci?"

or

"Do you mean Louis Vuitton?" (I may not speak French fluently but I can say Louis Vuitton like a Frenchman!)

It's so awful, but I would really like to know why they are looking for a brand they can't even pronounce!?

I feel like I am dealing with this:

Except my inquiries do not come from someone as adorable as James Franco. He could mispronounce it all day and I'd be fine with it!

It is a truth...

  • "...universally acknowledged that when one part of your life starts going okay, another falls spectacularly to pieces." -Bridget Jones
  • that I've spent half of my beautiful day off job hunting.
  • that I love this bullet point format.
  • there is nothing, I mean NOTHING to eat in my apartment. I'm going to have to go shopping, a girl can't live on coffee alone for more than a week or two...
  • No matter how hard I try, I am always wrong.
  • the general public is crazier by the day...
  • people judge too quickly.
  • I am in need of a tan, but too scared of skin cancer to go in the sun without sun block.
  • I am sick of wearing black to work EVERYDAY.
  • that I only seem to update this blog when I'm in a crabby mood.

Stop talking to me when I'm cross...

I just finished the latest episode of Doctor Who: "Amy's Choice" and I have to admit that I think it was one of the funniest of the season. I literally was laughing out loud at some points. Maybe it was just me...

Maybe I'm just in a dark mood so, things that shouldn't be funny are.

Like the new show I love.

Dead Like Me.

Ok, it's not new, but it is funny. I just can't stand George's mother.

(I know this post had a point when I started to write, but when I actually started typing all of this gibberish came out...)

Now, I really want to start talking about depressing things, like the lack of direction in my life, but I just can't put you all through that so I'll call it quits and hopefully be more inspiring at a later date.

A life in bullet points:

  • I was yelled at yesterday because someone on another floor left a sensor on a coat and I had to take it off. How is that my fault if I'm fixing the problem?
  • A group of French people told me my French was fantastic. I think they were just being nice.
  • I love rainy days.
  • I hate knowing bad things about other people.
  • Small towns are too small.
  • Vodka is absolutely lovely with cranberry juice.
  • I love dresses and skirts.
  • I think we are disconnected by being so connected. Seriously, do we need to be on a phone or listening to music ALL the time?
  • Chivalry is dead.
  • Tights and leggings make me very happy.
  • I want to see this movie:
  • I found a new way to style my hair that I actually like.
  • Fog is fun.

Une autre année...

I'm 24.

I'm 24.

I'm 24 and I just don't believe it. Why do we grow old? When does it stop? And when do we get from life what we want? (And why does some annoying brat named Dolly share my birthday? - sorry, long story)

Ugghh...

I shouldn't be allowed to know my birth date. It always depresses me when another year passes and my life isn't what I want it to be.

Anyhow, this video makes me laugh. It also makes me want a bunny:

Did you know I had bunnies once? Opie and Anna, I loved them, but one day they died...

Wow, I think I am going to stop writing before I depress you all.
