Alright, who followed and watched the World Cup?
Anyone?
I did...kind of.
I was more interested in it when I heard about this little guy.
Yep, I was only interested when an eight legged sea creature was involved.
What can I say? Sports need gimmicks for me to pay attention, that, or seats to a live game with beer and a hot dog!
Life here has been crazy. I had a friend from High school in town this weekend and we had a blast. I bought two dresses to wear home for the baby and wedding showers at the end of this month. (I promise more to come on that, as always, with my family there are tons of stories to share!)
We also saw Billy Elliot: The Musical and I surprisingly wasn't too disappointed. I love the movie, so I went knowing that it wouldn't be as good and was very pleased. To top off the weekend we did the Chicago Architecture Foundation River Cruise and learned tons about the city and it's architecture! As always, visits from friends are always too short. I wish weekends were much longer...

Coffee, Coffee, Coffee!!!!
Ah, a day off.
I slept in.
It was so nice.
But it wasted half my day...
I can't complain, I bought a programmable coffee maker today. You know what that means?!!! It means tomorrow morning when I have to get up way too early my coffee will be ready and waiting for me. I am so excited. I hope I set it right!
To add to my happy day, I received a free latte from Starbucks, and because they forgot to make it at first they gave me a second shot!!!! Yum!!!!!!
Do you remember when I was keeping a tally of the marriages and children in my high school graduating class? Well, I have news of two more engagements and EIGHT more kids!!!!!! What is going on here? What is in the water in MI?

End of the Week Round up!
Chad is offically done with all of his exams! Yay!! He said he felt really good about them which makes me feel good! I really hope he comes home with fabulous grades!
With all of the subjects we reviewed I only had an issue with one. Biology. Which was weird because I remember loving Biology. I had a fabulous teacher, Mr. Pease, but unfortunatly Mr. Pease doesn't teach at my old high school anymore because he committed suicide after a little scandel. The new teacher, in my opinion, sucks as a Biology teacher. The class is completly lecture, and they don't touch their books at all. The BRAND NEW books sit in the kids' locker during class. The books are great! I've seen them and I can't believe they don't use them! Plus the teacher creates definitions for the vocabulary words that aren't correct! The biggest issue I have with the class is that they don't disect a single thing. Not even a worm. What kind of Biology class is this that the kids don't disect a single thing!? I can't believe the parents don't revolt and ask for the teacher to do a better job or be fired!
Well, now that I am done with that, I have something else I would like to rant about. The other day when I was at the Colonial Coffeehouse (CC) I overheard the owner talking about her son who is in Iraq. He was just caught in his first battle/attack and had his first confirmed kill. She, the owner of CC, was saying how upset she was at the thought of someone trying to kill her son and how now her son would always have that with him. I began to feel really upset. I don't think it's right that anyone should be put in that situation. Mother's shouldn't have to watch their sons become killers and sons shouldn't have to fight for their lives. I am really, REALLY upset by the whole thing. I HATE WAR. It's just so wrong. How can we still be sending young men and women over there everyday to die and to kill? Doesn't anyone else feel how wrong it is? It breaks my heart and makes me incredibly sad.
That was a happy post, sorry, I promise that next week I will have a fun story. I will be going to an open casting call for a Hilary Swank movie in Chelsea! I am sure I will have plenty of stories after that! I will even try to take pictures!

Let is Snow, Let it Snow, Let it… well not too much snow
I am still mad at blogger for what it did last time. That is why I wrote this blog a few hours ago and had it saved in a Word document. I wasn’t going to rewrite all that stuff again.
Anyhow, I have more baby news. Andrew (who married the summer after we graduated) is expecting his first (well I guess, his wife is expecting and he just waiting). Ryah, a girl I went to high school with and totally forgot about until she friended me on Facebook, has one kid and is engaged. I guess she lives in the Bay City area. How you go from C-town to Bay City I will never know! There is also Kirk (who I will admit to having a crush on in late elementary and early middle school) has one kid. Kirk was held back one year after his mom died, but I still considered him part of our class because he went to CCD and Sunday school with me so it was like he was in the same grade.
One day last week I met up with my friend Meg and somehow the discussion of a five year high school reunion came up. I hadn’t really given the whole reunion thing much thought until she mentioned it. Half my class will already be married, or have kids or both. I guess success for others I graduated with is measured by the number of kids you have. Unless I can get married and knocked-up before the reunion in the summer I am going to look like a loser!
Well, I guess that is it for now, I was going to re-write the post that blogger lost and add it to this post, but that would be way too long. I talk about the family drama some other time.
Oh, I almost forgot, I am thinking about coming up to G-Rap the weekend of the 16th, 17th and 18th. Toi, I think you need to go with me and take a mini break from all that studying! MMM, I am so excited for the ice skating, but I give you fair warning, I will fall flat on my face and you will have to reward me with hot cocoa!

Je ne sais pas...
Sorry this post is going to be completely random.
Can you believe we are approaching the 7th anniversary of 9/11? I can't. It's too weird, especially now that I live in a city that felt the direct effects of the attack.
Another on of my high school classmates is engaged. That takes the percentage of engaged/married/babied/divorced up to 25%. I still believe there are others I don't know about. I feel like singing "Another One Bites the Dust" everytime I hear wedding/baby news. Gosh I sound bitter, I'm not, I'm just amazed because I think we are still too young!
I saw "Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, Part 2" yesterday. All alone. It was good, but I felt weird seeing a movie all alone. It made me think of that episode of "Sex and the City" when Carry has lunch alone. Before the movie they showed the Harry Potter trailer. How exciting! I can't wait!
It seems I had other random things I wanted to say, but I can't remember it now.
Miss you all!
