I am going to a "black tie" event this weekend kids.

I am so excited!

I'm working on finding jewelry and shoes to go with this dress from White House/Black Market:

What am I going to do with my hair?

Just Because

I'm wearing leggings as pants.

I know, bad, VERY BAD...but it's laundry day!

I'm only hanging around my apartment!

They're the only thing clean!


Gosh, if it wasn't so awful I would dress like this everyday! I'm so comfy!

Falling leaves...not quite!

Fall is in the air.

Have you noticed?

It is wonderful!

I am getting so excited thinking about scarves, sweaters, hot chocolate, rust colored leaves, hot apple cider and crisp sunrises. I've been so excited about the arrival of autumn that I even bought skinny jeans to tuck into my tall boots. I have NEVER owned a pair of skinny jeans, but I do now! Wow, Chicago really plays with your sense of fashion! I also bought a pack of Samuel Adams Octoberfest Beer (it just seemed appropriate!!!)

The only thing Chicago doesn't have is that quiet walk from the Carriage House to the Academic Building with a steamy beverage in your hands and leaves to crunch underfoot the whole journey.

Somethings are just irreplaceable!
